“This is a fundraiser’s nightmare: the FEC has ruled that Club for Growth can indeed contact all of Arlen Specter’s donors since 2004, who gave him upwards of $11 million, to inform them they are all entitled to a refund of campaign donations now that Specter has switched parties and become a Democrat. Specter so far has been forced to return about $500,000 — but many people who gave to him don’t know they can ask for their money back now that he’s switched parties.”

We had many people eligible for this week’s Teflon Weasel Award, but none more worthy than Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Even as she continues to get regular briefings from the intelligence community, Speaker Pelosi has refused to back up her accusations that the CIA lied to her and Congress.

Even after CIA Director Leon Panetta’s rebuttal, Speaker Pelosi said that she stands by her statement.

Meanwhile, Breitbart reports that the House rejects probe into Pelosi CIA claims as “House Democrats defeated a Republican push to investigate House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s claims that the CIA misled her in 2002 about whether waterboarding had been used against terrorism suspects.”

We stole the term “Teflon Weasel” from @DougPreston, a Twitter friend of ours who is a major contributor at Liberty’s Army. He used it to describe Nevada Senator Harry Reid who is the Senate Majority Leader (until 2010) and is, with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, part of the liberal comedy team, Dumb and Dumber. You tell us who is who.

But we digress. Taking Doug’s very eloquent phrase, Teflon Weasel, we created and award: The Teflon Weasel Award which we will give out as occasion requires.

Let’s take a moment to define Teflon Weasel. According to Dictionary.com’s Jargon File, weasel is, “one who deliberately or accidentally does things that are stupid or ill-advised. Roughly synonymous with loser.”

Also according to Dictionary.com, teflon is an adjective used to describe a person who is “characterized by imperviousness to blame or criticism: a Teflon politician.”

Therefore, the Teflon Weasel Award will be given to “weasely” people who seem to get away with everything.

There are so many people, mostly politicians (from all parties) and celebrities that there will be no shortage of people to nominate.

That’s where you come in. we will be asking for you nominations and votes.
